Legal
Privacy Notice.
This notice explains how Verati Design & Build Ltd (“Verati”, “we”, “us”) handles the personal information you share with us through this website and any enquiry you send.
Who we are
Verati Design & Build Ltd is the data controller for information collected through this website. We are registered in England & Wales under company number 17217636, trading as Verati Spaces.
You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@veratispaces.com.
What we collect
When you submit an enquiry we collect the information you provide, which typically includes:
- Your name
- Your email address
- Your telephone number (optional)
- The location of the property (town or postcode)
- Which service you are interested in
- The description of your project or situation
We also automatically record the date of the enquiry, the originating IP address and browser user-agent for security and abuse-prevention purposes.
Sensitive information
Because we work on accessible living and adaptation projects, the details you share may voluntarily include information relating to disability, health, care arrangements or household circumstances. We treat any such information with additional care and use it only to understand and respond to your enquiry. Please share only what you are comfortable sharing at the enquiry stage — we can discuss the rest privately.
Why we collect it & lawful basis
We use your information to:
- Respond to your enquiry and arrange a first conversation
- Understand the project and prepare a considered response
- Keep a record of communication with prospective clients
- Prevent misuse of the enquiry form
Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are (a) taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and (b) our legitimate interest in operating a design-and-build business and responding to enquiries. Where you voluntarily share information about health or disability, we rely on your explicit consent, given by choosing to include it in your enquiry.
How your information is stored
Enquiries are stored in our secure backend, hosted by our platform providers on servers inside the UK and EU. Access is limited to Verati’s directors and anyone Verati explicitly authorises to help run the business.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information and we do not share it for marketing. We may share it with:
- Our hosting, database and email providers, acting as processors under our instructions
- Trusted collaborators, contractors or specialists on your project — only where relevant, and only the information they need
- Regulators, courts or law enforcement where we are legally required to do so
[To confirm before launch: the specific list of third-party processors will be kept up to date here as Verati grows.]
How long we keep it
We keep enquiry information for as long as needed to respond and, where a project goes ahead, for the life of the project and a reasonable period afterwards for our legal, accounting and warranty records.
[To confirm before launch: Verati to confirm a specific retention period for unsuccessful enquiries — typically 12–24 months.]
Your rights
Under UK GDPR you have the right to:
- Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
- Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
- Ask us to delete information where we no longer need it
- Object to, or restrict, certain processing
- Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
- Complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk
To exercise any of these rights, email hello@veratispaces.com. We will respond within one month.
