Privacy Notice.

This notice explains how Verati Design & Build Ltd (“Verati”, “we”, “us”) handles the personal information you share with us through this website and any enquiry you send.

Who we are

Verati Design & Build Ltd is the data controller for information collected through this website. We are registered in England & Wales under company number 17217636, trading as Verati Spaces.

You can contact us about anything in this notice at hello@veratispaces.com.

What we collect

When you submit an enquiry we collect the information you provide, which typically includes:

  • Your name
  • Your email address
  • Your telephone number (optional)
  • The location of the property (town or postcode)
  • Which service you are interested in
  • The description of your project or situation

The website may process limited technical information where necessary to deliver the website, protect the enquiry form and prevent abuse. Verati does not use this information for advertising or behavioural profiling.

Sensitive information

Accessible-living enquiries may relate to disability, health or care arrangements. Our initial enquiry form is not intended for detailed medical, diagnostic or care information, and we ask you not to include this at this stage.

If sensitive information later becomes necessary to understand or deliver a project, we will explain why it is needed and ensure that an appropriate lawful basis and applicable condition for processing special-category data are established before using it.

Why we collect it & lawful basis

We use your information to:

  • Respond to your enquiry and arrange a first conversation
  • Understand the project and prepare a considered response
  • Keep a record of communication with prospective clients
  • Prevent misuse of the enquiry form

Our lawful bases under UK GDPR are (a) taking steps at your request prior to entering into a contract, and (b) our legitimate interest in operating a design-and-build business and responding to enquiries. The initial enquiry form is not intended to collect detailed health or disability information. Where special-category information later becomes necessary, Verati will identify and document the appropriate lawful basis and applicable condition for processing it before doing so.

How your information is stored

Enquiries are handled using the website’s hosting, database and email-service providers. Access is restricted to Dan and anyone specifically authorised by Verati to help administer the business or deliver the relevant project.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information or share it for advertising.

Information may be processed by the service providers used to host the website, store enquiries and deliver email. Where a project proceeds, relevant information may also be shared with contractors, tradespeople or professional specialists involved in that project. Only information reasonably required for their role will be shared.

Information may also be disclosed where Verati is legally required to do so.

How long we keep it

Enquiries that do not become projects are normally deleted after 18 months.

Where an enquiry becomes a project, relevant project, contractual and financial records are normally retained for six years after completion, or longer where required for tax, insurance, warranty, legal or regulatory purposes.

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
  • Ask us to correct information that is inaccurate
  • Ask us to delete information where we no longer need it
  • Object to, or restrict, certain processing
  • Withdraw consent where processing is based on consent
  • Complain to the UK Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk

To exercise any of these rights, email hello@veratispaces.com. We will respond within one month.
